I did a happy dance on finding this, as I've been searching for stories set in the Birthdayverse (how DID Angel get those visions, dammit?) Then I read it and needed some chocolate to cheer myself up because, well, it's about the events of Hero and that can hardly end with hugs and puppies. Angel sending Wes and Gunn to save Doyle years later just about broke my heart.
