Lindsey McDonald fascinates me more than any other character on AtS, and these five vignettes as he interacts with Angel, Lilah, Darla and Dru give a great insight into his mind and his world. My favourite was the missing scene from To Shanshu in LA, as an out-of-it Lindsey hallucinates in the emergency room.

Sea Change

Long story that made me completely believe these two could work (this is now in my personal fanon for the events of the summer between seasons 2 and 3). The setting is a freighter bound for points east; Lindsey is traveling the world, Angel is making his way to Tibet after hearing of Buffy's death. What starts off as a mind game for Lindsey becomes something deeper as he starts to care about Angel.The writing draws you in until you can just about feel the movement of the ocean.

Angel/Lindsey, with elements of Darla/Dru and Darla/Lindsey. After the massacre at Holland Manners' party, Lindsey goes through his days in a kind of shellshocked haze, as he attends his boss's funeral and settles debts with Angel. Love the Palahniuk-like style of this one and the jagged, dreamlike tone.
