AU; Action; S3
This is just so. Freaking. Cool. In another universe, rogue Slayer Annie kicks ass with help from her Watcher, Ripper. This is a spinoff I'd pay to see - wish this one was longer. And I was amused by the mention of a friend of Giles and Ethan's, a magus called John - Constantine, maybe?
Assistant Librarian by
TwinkleDru J Buffy/Giles, Anya/Willow Humour; Romance; S6
Buffy gets a new job, and sees Giles in a new light. I loved the sweet building of the relationship, and the humour's great.
Chocolate Ice

Humour; Romance; S3
Tracking an ice demon, Buffy and Giles get trapped in a freezing cave - and their only food is some leftover band candy.
Death Brings Clarity
by J.K. Philips
Angst; Romance; Action/Adventure; post The Gift
Short (100 pages or so) novel which is the first part of a trilogy. After Buffy's death, Giles realises too late how he feels about her, but he has even more to deal with as Hank Summers turns up to fight for custody of Dawn. Meanwhile, Buffy opted to check up on everyone rather than go into heaven, so she's hanging around as a ghost. Then a literal vampire slayer turns up... The plot and the romance are both great, and I love this for treating all the characters well, even Hank.

Fluffy holiday romance set on the Fourth of July.

Apocalypse; post-Chosen
Giles leaves his lover in England to help save the world again... and then they fail. Bleak, stunning.

Jealousy and bizarre dreams bring Buffy and Giles together. Very funny stuff.

Being a big astronomy geek, I naturally enough dug the metaphor about the moon landing, but this ficlet is beautiful all round.
Wedding Belles

Buffy/Giles, some Spike/Joyce and Wes/m
Humour; Romance; post-S3; unfinished
This is unfinished but well worth reading anyway. It's the old greencard-marriage chestnut and it works so very well. Buffy marries Giles to keep him in the country, both of them unaware of the other's supposedly unrequited feelings. The romance is slow-building and sweet, but where this shines is the involvement of the supporting characters. Everybody gets to pitch in (and when I say everybody I mean Angel, Cordy, Wes, Spike, Joyce and Riley as well as the Scoobs) plus a couple of nice original characters - I especially liked the anti-Mary Sue Jeannette, who everybody hates.
