Spike/Dawn friendship, Buffy/Spike
Long series, still in progress, set a few years after season six. Dawn has been packed off to college in New England and is enjoying a hellmouth-free life with normal friends. Then Spike shows up, dechipped and acting strangely. This is eventually going to be B/S but the main character is Dawn - I adored her in this. The glimpse into her college life is very realistically written (I identified with most of it) and the relationship between her and Spike is terrific.

Spike interrogates 17-year-old Dawn about her lovelife. Assumes none of the late season 6 events happened. I adored the cuteness of this, especially as I'm a complete sucker for the mystery Dawn pairing.

As the title suggests, this gives us a look at Spike and Dawn's first meeting, some time after Spike was chipped and chained in Giles's apartment. Cute, funny and I loved the banter between the two of them.

Old Blood

Diverting novel that parts ways with canon after Showtime. Spike makes amends with Dawn, and takes over the training of the Potentials. It's much more focused on the Dawn/Spike friendship than the Buffy/Spike shippiness.
