This long story is just wonderful. Changing the premise that Tara was wounded but not killed in Seeing Red, and Spike never went to seek the soul, this has them becoming friends after Spike prevents her from committing suicide. What follows is a gay romp - pun not intended - as Spike sets out to bring some much-needed fun into Tara's life. There's a serious undercurrent as issues from her past get dealt with. This is one of my favourite shippy stories, not least because I love the insights into how the two characters see each other, and the fact that it lets Spike move on without negating his love for Buffy. Oh, and the description of Tara all dolled up in the gay club is great - nice to see some acknowledgement of what a stunning woman Amber Benson is. This has made me want to see Chance just to see S/T (sort of) onscreen.

This takes us through season 7 Buffy and into season 5 Angel with the changed premise that Willow and not Tara died in Seeing Red. I love the growing relationship between Spike and Tara, moving from rapport to friendship to love naturally and believably.

Bonding after the events of Wrecked, what starts off as casual naughty touching starts to get more serious. Problem is, Spike still loves Buffy and Tara still wants to be with Willow - or at least, that's what they think they want. Told in alternating first person POV, this is very nicely done. It's not "Tara woke up straight" - her experimentation is very believable and the two of them let go of their previous relationships slowly and painfully. Has some S/B and W/T and includes some of my favourite smut in all fanfic.
